The main body is made of cow shoulder leather from LA BRETAGNA, which has a factory in the Santa Croce region of Northern Italy. Conceria La BRETAGNA was founded in 1961 by Sig Testi Giovanni, a producer with a 40-year career. In order to pursue the production of high quality leather, the factory is not a mass production system, but consists of tanners who specialise in shrink leather - a small number of elite worker. LA BRETAGNA is a member of the Italian Tannin Tanning Association. The shoulder part of European raw leather is carefully tanned, dyed and greased using plant tannins, with a traditional "bucketta manufacturing method" that has been handed down from ancient times in Santa Croce. The final finish is grained (boranata) to give each piece a different look. The more you use this warm leather, the more slowly it ages, so you can enjoy its ageing for a long time. In addition, natural plant tannins (*) are said to have antibacterial activity. The antibacterial test method and antibacterial effect JIS L1902: 2015 (bacterial solution absorption method) determined that it has the effect of inhibiting and suppressing the growth of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus). *Tannin, catechin, and polyphenol are used as synonyms. In the fields of leather and industry, tannins, foods, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics use different names such as tannic acid, catechin, and polyphenols, but they are chemically the same.
