The main body is made from box calf leather produced by the Tanner Concertia Victoria. Concertia Victoria was founded in 1946 in Santa Croce, an area known as a leather production center in central Italy. Conceria Victoria initially began as a tanner for plant tannins, then, in the late 1960s, new tanning innovations opened up the possibility of making chrome tanned leather. Today, by following the old-fashioned tanning methods and simultaneously incorporating new ideas and continuing to make improvements, Conceria Victoria's tanning cannot be imitated. The raw leather is carefully selected from Italy, France and other European countries. With an eye towards sustainability from early on in the process, all leathers have been certified by ICEC (Italian Tanner Sustainability Certification Organization). A carefully selected raw leather from Slovenia is chosen for it's aniline finish, wax and cordovan-like look. Not only is this box calf finer and more elegant than a cordovan, it also ages beautifully. The fasteners are YKK EXCELLA, with the entire surface of each element carefully polished.
